A.Prof Arkendu Sen, an anatomist/ophthalmologist by training, is the academic Director of Education Excellence, Monash Malaysia and a Fellow of the Monash Education Academy. He has wide international teaching experience He has researched and designed cutting edge Educational Technology innovations with “Blended Technology” in practical training,Technology Enhanced Practical Learning, Peer teaching & Assessment Methods, Innovative Collaborative Learning System of Surface-touch Computers and New Methods of 3D Visualization of learning objects culminating in the design of Medical Anatomy and Pathology E-Learning (MAPEL) Lab - an exemplar of state-of-the-art learning environment and pedagogy showcased nationally and internationally. Along with educational research grants from the Ministry of Higher Education, Trans Eurasian Network (TEIN) and others, his research and innovations have been recognized through the Best Paper award (2017), ITEX 2018 Silver award, Australian Government OLT Citation Award (2012); International Ron Harden Innovation in Medical Education Award twice - (2015, 2011), Vice Chancellor’s Excellence in Teaching Citation (2010), Faculty Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching twice (2014,2010) and PVC’s Award for Teaching Excellence. He is now exploring Augmented and Virtual reality tools for active learning.
Mr. Eric Tan has over 17 years of experience as an educator in the higher education industry. He is constantly improving his knowledge and skills in effective teaching and advocates 'life-long learning' to remain competitive in the 21st century. Over the years, he has developed and managed over 10 academic courses in universities, specializing in curriculum development and design, learning methodologies, education innovation and has a strong passion in educational technologies. In the early years, he has taught various subjects in digital communications and multimedia, web technologies and digital video production.
