Intercampus Exchange | Monash South Africa
What Ivy says
"During my stay here, I have met lifetime friends and have built an international network which I will use to my advantage one day in the future. Furthermore, it is a great opportunity to network with different students from different parts of the world as this might open doors for your future endeavours including travel and experience, and help you get out of your comfort zone."
Thoughts on Monash University
"I would definitely encourage any future exchange student to join the Monash University Malaysia campus for a semester because you never know what you might pick up from the different cultures. Consultations with the lecturers is very effective as they are informative and assist you where needed. Some of the campus activities I got involved in are ‘Fitbox’ and ‘Crossfit’ which both entails fitness workout sessions with a group of students with the same goal to live a healthier and fit lifestyle."
Life in Malaysia
"Some of the places I have travelled to within Malaysia so far are Langkawi, the Perhentians. Penang and Malacca. Langkawi and Perhentians felt like paradise! Monash Malaysia organised a tour around Kuala Lumpur and I got to see some of the beautiful architectures in the heart of the city. We also got to travel using the rapid KL trains to Batu caves where we saw the ancient caves and famous sculptures. Additionally, in the KL tour, we explored china town and bought a few souvenirs to remind us of the experience of a lifetime. The local food, transportation and travelling costs are quite low too."
