Education Management Office (EMO) Appointment
In the School of Arts & Social Sciences, we provide a range of student support services which includes: course map planning, course advice on your degree structure, unsatisfactory academic progress, unit enrolment, major/minor nomination, internal course transfer, exchange programmes, internship, etc.
Nevertheless, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all the course requirements are met to be eligible to graduate at the end of your studies. Please refer to the self-help guides on how to plan your own course map:
- A2006 Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences
- A2007 Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies
- A2011 Bachelor of Digital Media and Communication (Oct 2019 intake onwards)
After reading the self-help guides and if you are still uncertain on how to draft your course map or need further assistance for any of the services we provide, please make an appointment to meet with the course advisor.
(i) Please make an appointment at least one week in advance.
(ii) Please ensure you arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This will allow time to complete any additional paperwork and begin the course advice session on time (for face-to-face appointments only).
**LATEST UPDATE: Face-to-face appointments are currently not available. We will use google meet or zoom web conferencing as a temporary mode of appointment. The appointment link will be sent to you via email or google calendar after your appointment is confirmed.
(iii) Please notify us through phone call or email if you are running late. We will do our best to accommodate you, but will likely cancel your appointment if you arrive more than 15 minutes late. You will need to set a new appointment if you want to have another consultation session.
(iv) Each appointment is fixed at 30 minutes for course advice. If you require more time, please book the subsequent slot.
(v) To reschedule or cancel your appointment, please select reschedule and click on the cancel appointment button in the notification email (after you have completed the booking).
