Miniseries: The World of Ants

American entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker, Emanuel James "Jim" Rohn once said: "I think everybody should study ants. They have an amazing four-part philosophy. Never give up, look ahead, stay positive and do all you can".

Dr Zoe Yek Sze Huei from the School of Science chose to focus her studies on ants because they fascinate her. Her area of research has been primarily on species interactions (ants-plants-fungi-bacteria symbioses) in the natural environment.

Founder and creator of Science and Health for You - a science and health outreach platform for scientists and the general public alike, Dr Yek uses her scientific background and networks to help others convey their work to the general public. She translates complex scientific and health concepts into simple, accurate and concise writings.

In this two-part miniseries, Dr Yek will be sharing some fascinating facts about ants and why some are captivated by them.
