Chem-E Car Competition 2019

Vroom vroom….. the 6th Monash Chem-E Car Competition 2019 held on the 5th of March 2019, saw four teams of students from the School of Engineering, racing their cars to the finish line. Each team of young engineers designed and constructed a shoe box-sized car, powered by chemical reactions. The car also must be able to carry a certain load of water through a specified distance, hit a golf ball into a goal post, or hit a set of bowling pins, and stop autonomously.

The competition was divided into three different categories - car performance, poster competition, and popularity contest. While the car performance and poster competition were assessed solely by a panel of judges from the School of Engineering, the popularity contest allowed everyone to vote for their favourite poster.

The winning teams, Team V2OverConfident and Team Matchless Mixture will represent Monash Malaysia at the 14th National Chem-E Car Competition. The competition will be held at Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Chemical & Bioengineering Technology in Malacca, on the 29th and 30th of March 2019.

Congratulations and All the Best!
