Enhancing MUM loan policies
22 March 2019
As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the user experience, MUM Library has reviewed and streamlined its loan policies and practices to ensure equitable access to all users while leveraging ALMA (library system) capabilities.
As a result, we have increased MUM loan privileges to take effect on 1st April 2019, as summarised below:
- Staff and graduate students may now borrow a maximum of 30 items up to 30 days.
- Undergraduate students may borrow a maximum of 15 items up to 14 days.
- Alumni members may borrow a maximum of 5 books up to 14 days.
- Users can now place a hold on ‘short term’ book loans. The loan period
for high-demand items has subsequently been revised to 1 day, 3 days and 5 days.
