Yes, for students who discontinued the units after the census date, the units will change to WD-EARL-F. Hence, it will be not recorded in the transcript and will not affect the GPA or WAM. This is only applicable for the year 2020 as a response to COVID-19 situation and has been carried into 2021. Any changes will be updated here from time to time.
You may not be able to delete or withdraw from a unit because:
-you can only make enrolment changes at specific times
-WES will continue to show withdrawn units for audit purposes
-it's past the semester census date
-it's a specialist unit (e.g. research, industrial, study abroad)
Please ensure that you will not be in conflict with your course requirement when discontinuing a unit. You may need to add another unit to replace the discontinued unit in WES. If this does not work, please proceed to fill in the Enrolment Amendment Form in SORS and explain, in the communication log in SORS, the reason for discontinuing the unit for our review and approval.
The date you withdraw from a unit can affect fee refunds, loans and your academic record. It depends when you withdraw. Please always refer to the Principal Dates page to ensure that you do not incur any penalties when withdrawing.
If you withdraw from a unit before the relevant academic penalty date, it will remain in WES for audit purposes, but it won't show on your academic transcript.
The last day to withdraw from a unit without academic penalties is the teaching period end date.
