With an international academic career that spans approximately a decade, I undertake research which focuses on equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. My academic training in organisational studies, theory and human resource practice have provided me with a strong foundation for pursuing theoretically rigorous and empirically grounded research spanning areas of inequalities in the context of career outcomes of women and men, workplace experiences of immigrants and minority groups in managerial roles and gender differences in aspirations and expectations for organisational leadership. My work aspires to understand and answer significant questions and problems faced by contemporary workplaces and managers. All my research to-date is supported by research grants in Australia, notably the Australian Research Council’s Discovery Scheme for three years to develop a cross-cultural framework that measures career aspirations of immigrant managers from the Asia Pacific region. I remain strongly committed to Management education and research, which is demonstrated through my teaching excellence, research publications, best paper awards at international conferences and funding grants.
