My undergraduate years in Monash Malaysia have been the most memorable ones. I am blessed that my parents allowed me to choose my education path and have been supportive of the choices I've made. I was attracted to Monash University Malaysia by its high-quality education and to experience Australian education right here in my home country.
One of my best memories of the student life in Monash is the time when I ran for student council and was elected General Secretary. This gave me the opportunity to explore my passion by being involved in student activities and being the voice of the student community. It helped me to build leadership and time management skills as I had to balance my studies and my role in the student council.
The experiences being in the student council and the research skills acquired during my third-year research project empowered me to bring out the best in myself whenever I am entrusted with new roles or projects throughout my career.
I am currently with Aon Malaysia, a world-leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions. In my current role, I lead a team in managing the Flexible / Digital Benefits portfolio where we are involved in plan design requirements gathering, program analysis and plan consulting. I have been able to grow in my career with the valuable network of peers and mentors that have helped in providing me with advice, guidance and motivation.
To all current and future students, enjoy your student life to the fullest and never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone in achieving your dreams and success. Monash University has a great support system for alumni so stay connected after you graduate as it opens up a world of opportunities - we live by the motto Ancora Imparo.
