Where are you working/studying presently?

I'm currently working as a Research Officer in National Cancer Centre Singapore.

Why did you decide to study at Monash University Malaysia?

I believed that MUM could train me to be a competitive scientist and prepare me well with advanced scientific knowledge and techniques.

What/who influenced your decision in choosing Monash?

No one. I made the decision to study here.

Please describe your study experience at Monash University Malaysia.

Generally, the academics are experienced in their area of teaching. However, I do recommend MUM to employ more teaching staff with expertise in specific subjects.

Were there any obstacles faced while studying here? How did you overcome these?

Occasionally, a few assignments were due at the same time. To handle this, I arranged my time properly and started working on them as soon as possible. When stressed, I would take short breaks and spend time with friends.

What qualities did you acquire during your studies at Monash University Malaysia that were beneficial/helpful to you in the working world?

Exposure to various laboratory skills during Honours years, independent yet teamwork-oriented and the ability to multitask.

Do you think that having received a Monash education was beneficial to you when you first entered the working world?

Yes. I think it granted me the opportunity to get my first job and also provided me with the laboratory experience during lab classes and honours project.

What advice would you offer to current students who wish to attain success in University?

Time management is the pivotal key to success. Arrange your time for study and social time with friends. Don't procrastinate too much.

Please name one memorable educational experience for you at Monash University Malaysia.

Joining the exchange program in Clayton campus. It was awesome and memorable that I had a chance to study in Australia which has a completely different study culture from here.
