Why did you choose Monash?
Monash was ranked in the top 50 universities by the Times Higher Education at that time and was also a part of the Group of Eight Australian universities. Monash also offered opportunities for intercampus and inter-university student exchange.
What did you enjoy most about your student life?
I was very lucky to have met many interesting people throughout my university days, especially those who got me into unexpected but fun experiences!
Some of the best experiences I've had came from participating in clubs and societies, and it was challenging to balance my studies and club activities.
What qualities did you acquire during your studies that were beneficial to you in the working world?
Participation in clubs and societies has allowed me to attend corporate events, which highlighted the importance of creating rapport with people I meet and building long-term relationships. Other than meeting people from diverse backgrounds, I have improved my communication skills and I have also gained some insights into the working industry through meeting business representatives from corporations.
What is your advice to current students?
Most degree programs in Monash offer electives that allow students the freedom and flexibility to mix and match subjects into their chosen course as long as they meet the prerequisites. You should consider taking those electives as an option to explore other areas of study while pursuing your degree. Be open to experiences and do not be afraid to try!
