Tell us briefly about your work or role in your current organisation.
I am a HR Specialist in a newly set-up HR Service Center at Abbott Malaysia . My role is to provide exceptional HR solutions and advice to Abbott managers with the drive to provide excellent customer service to resolve their HR issues.
How has your study in Monash Malaysia helped to prepare you for the working world?
Studying in Monash gave me a wealth of knowledge and empowered me to question, to analyse and to critique societal structures. Throughout my studies, I learnt to question societal norms and finding the reasons behind the foundation of these structures instead of just merely following them. This experience moulded me to become an analytical person who believes that critical thinking does bring us far in our career. Monash taught me to never stop learning and to alway live by the Ancora Imparo tagline.
What did you love most about your student life at Monash?
I would definitely say the lectures, tutorials and group discussions. Surprisingly, I missed studying, which not many people do. Studying for exams, preparing for assignments and group discussions, which sparked much debate amongst my friends - these were the most exciting times I had in university. My lecturers constantly encouraged us to speak up on what we had learnt and to discuss them with passion. We learnt many theories that broadened our minds and to question societal norms and values. These experiences are invaluable to me.
