Yes, you can apply as long as you meet the requirements of the role. Monash University Malaysia will make the necessary arrangements upon successful appointment of an expatriate candidate. The appointment is subject to securing an employment pass from the Immigration Department of Malaysia. It is important to note that normally, an applicant for an Employment Pass must have the necessary expertise or qualification which either cannot be found or is scarce in Malaysia. Please note that HR will assist in obtaining the necessary Employment Pass and will provide advice to assist expatriates on their relocation to Malaysia.
On average, the hiring process – from shortlisting to interviews and reference checks to final offer – takes about 60 days for professional positions and around 90 days for academic positions.
Recruiters and hiring managers are constantly reviewing applications. When you apply for a position, your application will be evaluated by a Selection Panel comprising senior staff from the relevant discipline/portfolios. Your qualifications and work experience in relation to the job, along with those of all other applicants, will be compared against the skills or qualifications required for the position.
In order to be considered an applicant at Monash University Malaysia, you must request to be considered for employment by fully completing an application and apply online.You must submit your latest resume by the application deadline, identify a specific position you are applying for, and be minimally qualified for the specific position. For all academic positions and senior professional positions, you will also need to provide a document addressing the key selection criteria.
Minimally qualified is defined as possessing the knowledge, skills, education and experience listed as “key selection criteria” in the position description.
All applications will be evaluated to ascertain whether requirements of the role have been met. Shortlisted applicants will then be contacted for an interview which will be conducted by a panel. The panel will proceed to interview these shortlisted candidates, which will be done either face to face or virtually. The successful candidate will be then contacted and offered the position.
