Malaysian staff are required to contribute a minimum of 11% of their monthly salary to the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) in line with statutory requirements. Expatriate staff may also opt to register for EPF contributions but it is not compulsory. Expatriate staff who registered for EPF contributions will also need to contribute the statutory minimum of 11% of their monthly salary.
The statutory minimum contribution rate for staff is subject to change as announced by the government. For all staff who registered for EPF contributions, we will make an employer’s contribution of 13% for salaries below RM 5,000 and 12% for salaries above RM 5,000 of monthly remuneration to the EPF, in line with the statutory requirement. Expatriate staff can withdraw the EPF account balance when they leave Malaysia at the end of their employment.

Expatriate staff receive a one-off relocation allowance of RM16,700, an air ticket to commence employment, annual home travel air tickets and a school tuition fee subsidy up to RM40,000 for children studying in Malaysia’s private international schools.
